Training the Send Away with Michael Ellis opens with an excellent lecture on the concept and training steps for the send away by Michael Ellis. This lecture was filmed at Michael's school on advanced obedience in California. There is a chapter on working with puppies and a chapter on when to use touch pads vs a toy.

In this video we are introducing Tami McLeod. Tami is one of Leerburg's new online instructors. Leerburg and Tami are producing a course titled Drive Development for Competition Obedience. If you are an AKC obedience competitor, this course is built to help you build and maintain drive in your competition dog. The same goes for any other dog sport that requires a motivated but precise obedience dog.

The majority of the many videos used in this course have already been filmed and are now in production. This online course will be available in the coming months. Its release will be announced in our Leerburg newsletter. Tami McLeod has trained competition dogs for over 25 years. This video will talk about her experience and our work together.

Being able to send your dog to its bed when the door bell rings, or when guests come to the house, is a tool you will use for the life of your dog.

Before using the remote for this work, the dog 100% must understand the bed command. If your dog doesn't know the command, then back up your training and teach it touch pads and the foundation without a remote first.
